The kindergarten’s educational team includes special education kindergarten teachers, assistants, and national service girls. Each leading kindergarten teacher leads and guides the educational team of her kindergarten in order to advance each child in the different areas: Emotional-behavioral, social, cognitive and educational, corresponding to his abilities and with consideration for his difficulties.
Each kindergarten class has a pedagogical counselor and psychologist or social worker, who accompanies the work of the kindergarten teacher, and the multi-disciplinary team which includes a speech therapist, an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist, and an emotional therapist. All of the former based on a broad, multi-dimensional approach, that contributes to a holistic view of the child and his family.
The educational work in the kindergartens is based on a Ministry of Education study program, creating a meaningful connection and developing a sense of belonging. Most of the work is done in either small or large groups, with consideration for the abilities and difficulties of each individual child within the group. Each child has an individually adapted curriculum made in cooperation between parents and staff, in which the goals of work with the child are defined for that year. All of the above is based on an understanding of the importance of the child’s participation in the life of the family, the community and the educational framework.
